The role involves

We currently seek to recruit a Regional Condition Monitoring Technician within Specialist Engineering covering Scotland and Cumbria.

This is a key role with Specialist Engineering with prime responsibility to carry out the testing and analysis of equipment, whilst working to Health & Safety guidelines.

What the role involves:

  • Use various types of techniques including Vibration and Thermography equipment.
  • Participate in call out rota when required.
  • Carry out the interpretation, analysis and compilation of detailed reports using a computer.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and relate to customer instructions.
  • You are responsible for your health and safety and have a duty of care for others around you within your working environment.
  • Good team working skills as well as working on own initiative.
  • Promote good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.
About You
  • Minimum of 1 years work experience in an industrial environment.
  • Fully proficient in specialist VA and/or thermographic equipment.
  • Proficient user of windows based programmes. Experience of fully integrated system based sales order processing and stock management systems.
  • Knowledge of some or all categories of Maintenance, Repair and Operational product and service range.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver management information within required deadlines.
  • Sales and customer relationship development skills
  • Negotiation skills at multiple levels within customer and supplier organisations
  • Communication and inter-personal skills.

Required qualifications:

  • Grade A* - C GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics.
  • Higher Education in Engineering is preferred.
